generosity

My parents with the Bata/Banago SFC group,1999-2000

I am a great fan of Mother Teresa because of the way she had shown love and generosity to others especially to the poor and needy.Yet my admiration of her wasnt of my childhood ideals, as a matter of fact i was the one whinging of Dad's generosity to both strangers and acquaintances when i know we were hard up as well.I would remember grumbling over when my father would tell me to prepare some food for people who had just turned up our front door claiming that they came from far away town and had been been on a journey had no money and had nothing to eat ....etc.In my shortmindedness and lack of understanding..i often question my father's motive or intentions.I never had understood his ways.I often thought that it was just foolishness to do  such a thing. At times i would even blame him for the hardship and difficulties i was facing because i felt i was deprived, when dad just very well gives away when its just good enough for us.As years went by,God somehow let me see and understand what my own parents tried to let me see.My parents joined Couples for Christ,my sisters and i eventually followed and through this catholic organization ,i was given the opportunity to share and give my 3 t"s:talent, time and treasure.Truly i am blessed!I now understand that when you give unconditionally,it will come back to you a hundred fold....i had been blessed with true friends and loving family.God gave me the perfect man for me...special delivery from australia to become my husband!and currently i am a full time wife and mother to two wonderful and bubbly children. No wealth in this world could ever compare to the treasure that i recieved from God.

My parents we're right and they truly had shown me how to give...afterall charity begins at home, and they very well did just that.:)
