May the Lord keep him safe at all times, strengthen him emotionally, physically and most of all spiritually. This I ask in the mighty name of Jesus our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Father Stack died in hospital on 10 October, a few hours after a massive heart attack. That is a significant date in the history of the Columbans as the bishops of Ireland on 10 October 1916 gave their approval to the Maynooth Mission to China, which became the Society of St Columban on 29 June 1918. |
