without 25 cents, there will be no single peso...

Corazon Mendoza's 25 CENTS FROM THE POOR TO THE POOREST OF THE POOR (http://www.misyononline.com/janfeb09-25cents) reminds me of a simple story told to me by a friend. There was this child who never value the worth of the 25 cents Philippine coin. She would just play with the coin and would leave it in the ground. One day, an ice cream vendor was passing by in there house. Her mother went marketing and so the the little girl, hurriedly look for coins in their table and drawers. She did found four pesos. She only need one peso to buy a cone of ice cream but she can't fine one anymore.

a mountain story

"A son and his father were walking on the mountains.
Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"
To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"
Curious, he yells: "Who are you?"
He receives the answer: "Who are you?"
And then he screams to the mountain: "I admire you!"
The voice answers: "I admire you!"
Angered at the response, he screams: "Coward!"
He receives the answer: "Coward!"
He looks to his father and asks: "What's going on?"
The father smiles and says: "My son, pay attention."
