Recently we asked for prayers for Mrs Margarita D. Javier, mother of Felicidad 'Liiet' D. Javier who has written fro Misyon about her time in Cameroon. In an email today Liit informed your editor of the death of her mother. May she rest in peace.

Anniversary of Columbans killed in Korean War
Submitted by FatherSean on Fri, 09/25/2009 - 17:55.Seven Columbans gave their lives during the Korean War (1950 - 1953). Yesterday, 24 September, was observed as the 59th anniversary of the deaths of three of them, Monsignor Thomas Brennan, Father Thomas Cusack and Fr John O'Brien. They were held in Taejon Jail where there was a general massacre of prisoners on the night of 24 September and it is presumed that they died then.
