Columban priest ordained in Korea

Columban missionary, Gregorio Kim Young-In was ordained priest 26 February in the parish church of St Thomas Aquinas, Seoul, where he had served as a deacon. The ordaining prelate was Bishop Andrew Yeom Soo-jung, auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Seoul.
Present were Father Gregorio's father (his mother is deceased), his sister, brother, many family members, friends, diocesan priests, Columban Superior General Fr Tommy Murphy, Fr Domingo Kim Jong-Geun, the first Korean Columban priest, members of the Korean Region who travelled from many parts to be present, Fr Ray Scanlon who travelled from Melbourne, Australia, Fr Derry Healy from Chile, Columban Sisters, Columban seminarians and Columban lay missionaries.
Father Gregorio celebrated his First Mass (Misa Pasalamat) with the parish community on the morning of Sunday the 27th. He thanked all present with the gesture of a solemn bow that was appreciated by all.
