Pray for Columban Father Richard Pankratz

Fr Dick Panktratz leading prayer rally for Fr Michael Sinnott

Please pray for Columban Father Richard 'Dick' Pankratz who had a stroke on 10 August. After spedning time in hospital in Cagayan de Oro and in Manila, followed by recuperation in St Columban's, Singalong St, Manila, he flew home to Wisconsin, USA, last Monday acocmpanied by Fr Raymond Husband and Dr Keith Navalta.

At the time of his stroke Father Dick was parish priest of Holy Rosary Parish, Agusan, Cagayan de Oro City, and Mission Awareness Coordinator of the Columbans in the Philippines.

In the photo above Father Dick is leading parishioners in prayer for Fr Michael Sinnott in October 2009 when Father Sinnott was still in captivity haing been kidnapped form the Columban house in Pagadian City.

Father Dick came to the Philippines in 1975 and has worked tirelessly in proclaiming the Gospel in word and in deed since then in Mindanao.
