Inspirational Poem
The Grandfather
On a hot day he planted seedlings
when a stranger passed by
looked at him and laughed
how silly he said to expect the seed
to grow and make fruits for the old man
the old man looked up and said
"my dear fellow
I am planting these not for myself
but for my grandchildren
since I have come to this world
with trees ready for me,and its now time for me
to prepare a tree for them.
The stranger strode away
ashamed and touched
how an old wise man
could have realized that.
This is a very special poem for me. Very few of us have sense of relevance to God the father, who made and prepared the world for us. Because life is getting quicker- we don't have time to pause for a while and see the wonders of nature. Making money is a tiring thing, we all know that.
Maybe even the busiest of people could see the beauty of God's creation if he/she give time to reflect somehow.

Thank you for sharing that
Thank you for sharing that poem melissa Each of us indeed has a part to play: be it to plant, to water, to weed, to fertilize or to harvest. May we continue on with whatever task is ours at hand

MY SWEET JESUS CHRIST
By Mary Grace H. Calopez
My sweet Jesus Christ,
How I love you.
I surrender myself entirely to you.
Let your will be done in me.
My sweet Jesus Christ,
My everyday inspiration,
Why do I keep fighting evil every moment?
It is you who are the reason.
My sweet Jesus Christ,
My strength and my light,
In your holy presence
I am in delight.
My sweet Jesus Christ,
Where would I be now if not with you?
I think I would feel cold and lonely,
Not knowing where I was going.
My sweet Jesus Christ,
Deep in my heart I thank and adore you.
You alone suffice,
Thus, I cannot ask for more.

nice poem
I wish all of us is like the grandfather who desires to leave something good for the next generation. A person cannot stay in this world forever but legacy and good memories can remain for generations...
By the way, that was a nice poem.
our poetic nature
indeed if we are under the influence of God's love, we will surely be as poetic just the way how nature reveals itself to those who have the eyes and heart for it. most of us would say that we are only able to compose poetry if we are inspired. so in every moment that you feel such, grab the chance to write one as testimony of God's greatness. He will surely like it. and let this page be your means of expressing your poetic nature. we will surely be glad to read and share in your inspiring piece of art.
God bless us all!

As she is growing old, she
As she is growing old, she bears all the scars that human has left with her poor body. And to think that this is still going on, old as she already is.
But with one mango seedling that we can plant in our backyard, it is a big difference already. With a simple choice of recycling, avoiding plastic bags and anything else that cannot be recycled, it will go a long way I believe. We are created as her steward, after all.
Think of all the things that were thought impossible -- until they happened!
Do not Wait for the Last Day...
I was so touched when I read this poem...
One More Day to Live
by Carol Ann
Used with Permission
If I had only one more day to live,
All love, praise, and glory to you I'd give.
I'd try my best to put a smile on someone's face
To share with them your saving grace.
I'd remember things about my life
The times you were there through fun and strife,
And thank you then for all you've done.
Without you no victories would have been won.
If I have one more day before I die
I would apologize to the kid I made cry.
I would take back the harsh words said to everyone,
And fill their hearts with laughter and fun.
If I only had one more day
I wouldn't push anyone away.
I wouldn't try to hurt a friend
Because I should love them to the very end.
Why not live each day as if it were our last
Looking towards our future and forgetting the past
To be a Christian each day we live
And most importantly to always give.
