Turning 73 but getting stronger

The Diocese of Kabankalan will celebrate its Patronal Fiesta with Bishop Gerardo Alminaza as the main celebrant on December 3. (For more information, pls visit the parish webpage: http://francisxavier-kabankalan.blogspot.com/) As a native of Kabankalan, I feel so blessed that after four months of his episcopal ordination, Bishop Gerry will officiate the Holy Eucharist on his first and only parish assignment.

Since the seat of the diocese is Kabankalan, its parish patron eventually became the patron of the whole diocese. This celebration has been very memorable to me, especially during my high school days, as the other parochial schools of the diocese join us and there were band exhibitions after mass. It is a sad reality that many people do not know that Saint Francis is our primary patron.

May the missionary spirit of Saint Francis Xavier make us more zealous to preach the Gospel, especially through our actions.

To my Mother Parish, happy 73rd patronal fiesta!

Surely your parish will still have a long way to go because God will keep it for long. And don't be sad na Ms Lucille for St Francis will have its own way of revealing himself especially to your parishioners.

Happy Feast Day Saint Francis Xavier Parish!

Happy Feast Day!

Saint Francis Xavier is one of the zealous missionaries in history. We came to know about mission, the hardships Saint Francis Xavier had gone through as mirrored by the Columban Fathers who showed to us what mission is and what it is to be a missionary.Let us remember that our humble parish was nurtured by the Columban Fathers

May the missionary spirit remain alive in us through the little things we do for the Church.

Fiesta Blessing

We are so blessed to have Bishop Gerry as our main celebrant for the mass. It was a grace-filled activity in which all lay organizations offered their time, wealth and treasure as stewards of God's bountiful blessings.

Fiesta

Surely you had a great fiesta celebration in your parish as all come together to celebrate the true essence of the feast. Indeed it was a grace-filled day.
Long live your parish!

God bless us all!
