'I get nothing out of Mass'
Read the story of Olivia, a 25-year-old woman from Mozambique who, though not yet a Catholic at the time, crawled more than four kilometers every Sunday to get to Mass because she has no legs. (CNA).

.- The Little Sisters of the Abandoned Elderly in Chissano (Mozambique) took into their home this week a 25 year-old African young girl named Olivia, who despite not being baptized at the time and not having any legs, crawled 2.5 miles every Sunday to attend Mass.
According to the AVAN news agency, the nuns said that one day, they saw “something moving on the ground far away,” and when they drew near they saw, “to our surprise, that it was a young woman.”
“We were able to talk to her through a lady who was walking by and who translated into Portuguese what she was saying to us” in her dialect, they said.
The sisters said that although “the sand from the road burned the palms of her hands during the hottest times of the year,” the young woman crawled to Mass, “giving witness of perseverance and heroic faith.”
The young woman received baptismal preparation from a catechist, who periodically visited her at home. After she was recently baptized, one of the benefactors of the sisters donated a wheel chair for Olivia.

this is such a great
this is such a great testimony of faith! it surely melted my heart...nakakatouch talaga.
Olivia surely inspired a lot of readers. her story makes us stop for a while and think of our own spiritual status, making us ask ourselves, 'how and where are we as of the moment? what is our degree of relationship with Jesus right now? how are we as Catholics?'
may we give ourselves enough time to be inspired by this and think over of our own spirituality. and as we do this, may God grant us the grace of humility as we are led to deeper reflection.
God bless us all!

remarkable story
I am embarrassed at myself to think that there are times when I am just plain lazy to go to Mass. Her story is such an eye-opener for me and I will surely remember her and her remarkable love for the Eucharist, whenever going to Mass feels like an obligation.
God bless you, Olivia. May more and more Catholics, especially the young ones read your story.
Think of all the things that were thought impossible -- until they happened!
not used in attending masses
I admit I really don't have the fondness of attending masses. Yet, I believe God, and I believe God never measures when or how many times you attended masses. I think the important thing is, your faith to him is strong and you trust God with all of your heart, with or without attending mass. God made us different.. and I believe all of us have different perceptions and choices.. every individual makes a difference. -jesh- God bless us always..
The Beauty in the Sacrifice of the Mass
Surely nobody can question anybody's faith because its depth remains known between the individual and his God.
But for Catholics, there is always something to look forward to in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. The beauty is right there in the consecration; the beautiful God. Just like only a person with the eye to see beyond the ordinariness of things that can truly appreciate the real beauty that's around, it is that same eye that can see the beauty there is in the Mass. The good news is, we all have the capacity to have an eye for a true beauty. All we need to do is to simply give ourselves the chance to see things with our eyes coupled with our heart. And only then you will know what I mean... Just give it a try.
God bless us all!

Give it a try and make the most of it
Hi Jesh,
You find the right place to express your sentiments about your mass attendance. I think it would even be better if you can be a member of a certain group in the parish where you belong and maximize your potentials, enhance your abilities and optimize your spiritual journey.
I have not read the story about autumn but life can be like autumn, giving up some things for others, so that we can be replinished - during Springtime. Again, I remembered a sharing: If you fill a glass with water, and then let it stand for sometime, it will become stagnant. But if you utilize that water in any way, it will be useful and be replaced. In the same way, if we have latent talents and abilities and do not use them, it will just be put to waste. But if we use it, especially for the benefit of the community, then God will supply us with other gifts that we need. As the Bible says, "To those who have, more will be given." "Give and you will be given..."
That in all things, God may be glorified!
I, now found the right place..
I always thought that misyon is the right place where i can express what i really feel and be myself. the story of "when autumn leaves fall" was very inspiring, in fact i realized that there still lots of things I have to learn as i read that story.
where can i find that certain group you were saying po?

Church Groups
Hi Jesh!
I believe you can find those groups in your local parish Church. For just a Sunday, why not attend a mass and observe the groups that are participating in the mass. Example: Knights of the Altar (for boys only, Junior CWL (for girls only), if your fond of praying the Rosary, the Legion of Mary fits you right. There are also other groups that are actively participating in the social concerns of the Church.
Just approach the Parish Priest or anyone who serves in the Church and your concerns hopefully will be addressed.
You are very much welcome here!
