when autumn leaves fall

that article was published years ago yet I still can't forget it. i forgot who the author was of that story. I just love it. it was the reflection of a sister on how she was living her life abroad. if I'm not mistaken she was a nun. and I can't forget what she said in her last line of her story, "I wish I was like the Autumn leaves, they had the ability to let go.."
and another story hit me was the story of brother bo sanchez. I forgot the title of the story. it was years ago but the content and what brother bo wanted us to realize is still fresh to me. the story was about how he brought the orphan kids to the park. how he made the kids experience flush in public toilets. and at the end of the day while driving back home, one girl said to kuya bo how happy she was coz she was with him. the story was amazing, and I realized that happiness can be found even in a simple way.

to let go...
"I wish I was like the Autumn leaves, they had the ability to let go..." Guess this remains to be one of the longings of every individual. We do get to a point of attachment -may it be in a relationship, to a person or any material things. But life requires us to move on, and moving on would mean detachment. This seems to be one of the hardest things we can ever do. At one point we are hooked in something only to find out that it is either gone or we simply have to let it go. It surely hurts and it is the pain felt that makes it more difficult to let go.
I am at this point learning to let go of things, to let go of the past. I believe the process continues in every time we meet new things and new people. But the good thing is, life becomes more meaningful in every attachment and letting go. This actually makes life so beautiful.
This is one of my favorite lines, 'Let go and let God.' Make it yours too.
