I can't love wholeheartedly
"When God made your human heart, he found it so good that he kept a small sample of it in heaven. You will never love with your whole heart because you do not have the whole heart with which to love. In order to love with your whole heart, you must go back to God and recover that piece He has been keeping from you through all eternity."
-I memorized this from the leaflet of the Augustinian Sisters when I was still in college. Its basis might be the restlessness of our hearts...
For me to love fully, it must be in response to God's love for me. I may find it a struggle to love, especially the unlovable, unloving and unloved but if I have to let God love in me and through me, then, I may be able to love the way He did. Then, loving is a work in progress.
Lord, teach us to love the way you do. Amen.

Love Endures
"When God made your human heart..." Such a nice quote and I love it.
Our God is a God of love. As He created us in His own image and likeness, He also made us capable of loving and being loved. Indeed it is always a challenge for us to love truly, wholly and fully. We are not God ourselves and we tend to reason out that it's too impossible for us to share the kind of love that God has. But God is assuring us that it is possible. We just have to allow ourselves to flow with the love that God would want from us and to will the Father's will.
I have been loved and I'm happy. But when I have loved, I'm more than grateful. For I know that it is by God's grace to keep such an enduring love.
God bless our hearts!

'Love is embracing all and loving especially the unlovables.'
love will keep us alive...
"By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have loved one another." (John 13:35)
Last Tuesday in our Religious Education class, our teacher asked the class what was our definition of love. She was surprised to see that the class was actively participating. Since the time was from 1:00- 2:30 hour, the time would usually be inviting us to take a little nap- but not during that day. Many were really sharing enthusiastically.
So I guess, it is love that keeps us alive. Our Father loves us truly and because of His love, we can have an understanding of what love truly means. We will know how to love others unconditionally because we know that we don't really deserve God's love but still He's giving it for us. God will complete our heart...
If a person feels that he is being loved, his life will always be meaningful and vibrant. But if a person started to feel that nobody loves him, he will have bitterness about living and might even wish that he didn't exist at all. Love will complete us and make us more human because in the process of loving we might fail. We get hurt or disappointed. Yet, its all worth it...for we learned and we become better persons. We will become more sensitive about the feelings of others. We wanted others to be happy. True love endures forever...
Therefore, let us love one another because it is through loving that we realize what life is.
"For I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and future."
-Jeremiah 29:11-
