Father Tim Finigan kindly drew his readers' attention to the article by Jackie Parkes, 'The Agony and the Ecstasy', and that of her daughter Elizabeth, 'A Daughter's View on Manic Depression', in the current issue of Misyon. Though I used to read Jackie Parkes's blog regularly, till she decided to take a break from blogging, it was Father Tim who drew my attention, in his blog, to Jackie's article. I have visited the Parkes family a number of time in Birmingham - a lively home! - and Jackie readily gave me permission to use 'The Agony and Ecstasy' in Misyon and her daughter Elizabeth gave me permission to use hers.
