The article "Who Will Console Consuelo?" by Sr Angela McKeever (http://www.misyononline.com/marapr09-who) has made me realize that we should not judge other people immediately just because in the first meeting they were so indifferent. It made me realize too that we should not judge those people who are in prison and look down them as if they are not humans. They might have committed mistakes that they have to pay in jail and there are also those who were just victims of circumstances. They have their stories to tell...of what lead them there and why some of them would even deny that they believe in GOD. Nevertheless, whatever their stories are, it is very certain that they need people who will understand them, hear them, guide them, introduce God to them again, help them realize their weaknesses and console them...people like Sr Angela...

Being an inmate would mean you are being deprived of having that freedom to go wherever you want and to do the things that you wish to do.But it doesn't mean that an inmate cannot learn something good or cannot help others...It doesn't mean that they will stop knowing God. I was moved by these lines from the thank you letter of Carlos Triana from Colombia:"...It has been a long hard journey but I can see now a lot of positive things that happened to me since my arrest...It has been a long hard journey but I can see now a lot of positive things that happened to me since my arrest." After 44 years, for the first time in his life, he has started looking at a clear horizon. He was able to recognize what he wanted to do and what he can do.Really, God has reasons for everything.

This world needs people like Sister Angela McKeever who would willingly share their time and efforts for those people who needs to be enlightened through the words of God.
I would like to end this with this very meaningful paragraph from the article: "Maybe I will lose her amid the 1,300 women in this jail. But I know God will not..."

Yeah, right.God will never give up on us...

Who will console...?

Who will console Consuelo, Carlo, me and you? We all have our own shares of life's challenges that oftentimes we tend to focus on our own. We forget to see the others and fail to offer a hand.

People like Consuelo definitely needs a big help. They are crying so hard in great pain that they don't even know where to find their way. And it takes an extra effort to reach them, to touch them, to help them.

If only someone could fly to pull her out from drowning, if only someone could appear to embrace all the pains away, if only someone could sit down to listen and just listen...just listen... It is then by grace that someone could come.

We may be talking here of Consuelo or Carlo, but we are also talking about me and you.

God will always have His own ways... God bless us all!

All people are born good

All people are born good but because of their experiences in life and how they are mold, they become either better or dreadful individual and some are labeled "criminal". How dare those who prejudge OTHERS! Those who humiliate and ridicule people whom they just meta  few hours ago, who made mistakes unintentionally or just heard recent news about a girl or a boy who stole wrapped bread in a store. We are forced by society to be better when in fact society itself is bringing a bad influence by giving media the freedom to expose superfluous information, and our not knowing that we are being deceived.

Like Consuelo, I know for sure she is a good person but despite her childhood experience she felt like she had no sense in the world and that her life was junk. Undeniably we too sometimes feel the same way. Just an admirable thought that Sr Angela found her. God maybe had seen her suffering and wanted to end, lessen and ease the pain she had felt all the years of her life.

I want to comfort Consuelo too same way as someone would comfort me. I want her to feel there are many people who empathize with her. She is so strong . Admirable!
