Kindle the spirit of being young
Youth and Students for the Advancement of Gender Equality (YSAGE) member Ben Secretario “The youth are leading the industry, the society. If we only feed them with the right advocacy and with the right mentality about things, it will take shape. Kailangan lang is to feed them with the right attitude and mentality on things,” he continues.
This statement came from an empowered young man who rejects the common label of youth as "the hope of our motherland". He is only invoking the mind of our fellow young men and women that in the new era where poverty, exploitation and confusion in society show there is a need of massive combat by the young. Empowering young men and women is not an easy work to do. We need to deal with motivational training, patience and courage. We can if we only believe in the spirit of oneness.
We should start to kindle the spirit of being young, God-centered individuals and advocates, though we will have to consider individual differences and personal perspectives. Through several powerful camps and trainings with the guidance of God, we can achieve what we aim for. I am confident that this can happen because I am an empowered young woman product of Youth and Students for the Advancement of Gender Equality (YSAGE) - Negros Echo camp.
